Name: Mr. Hao
Is the Face of… Seattle Chinatown (Sleepless in Seattle Threat)
With the High Concept… Miserly Wiseman
And Motivation… Balance must be maintained.
With These Relationships: Tsen Hao Society (Leader)
Appears late 70’s. 5’, 100 lbs., Southern Chinese, White Hair, Gray Eyes.
Dresses in traditional Chinese silks, preferring reds and golds. Not ugly, but Mr. Hao was born under a bad sign – his feng shui is off, his chi a little more negative than positive.
Mr. Hao is not an inviting or patient man, dispensing advice only when it is needed and annoyed when people seek it out without permission. He spends most of his days drinking tea and watching Chinatown, and the rumor is he is at least as old as the neighborhood around him. He does not wield any apparent magic, but tales of a Mr. Hao reach as far back as the days of Chinese workers being brought over to build the railroads, depicting a deadly wizard who was only too eager to cavort with dark forces to further his own aims of punishing those who oppressed the migrant Chinese (a view that has slowly evolved to include all Asians). He could be a Sorcerer, or perhaps a full-fledged Wizard. He refuses to say… it’s none of our business.
Mr. Hao leads the Tsen Hao Society, which functions similar to the Ordo Lebes, but older and less friendly to outsiders (non-Asians). It relies on traditional means to protect its members and fight off the supernatural, avoiding the internet in favor of more tried-and-true methods. Currently the Tsen Hao are fighting a war of influence for control of Chinatown and even if they weren’t the wouldn’t care much for the rest of Seattle anyways.
